Ayumi was closing her eyes in delight as she was listening to Birdie play her harp; and opened them as she finished her song. She clasped her hands together slightly under her chin, tilted her head to the side, and smiled brightly.
"That was splendid!" She cooed, still smiling. She could tell Birdie put a lot of dedication to her work with music.

Birdie smiled softly. She as happiest when she could make people happy with her music. To her it showed that she put her heart into it. "Thank you. I'm glad you like it. I haven't sang that song in so long. I hope it really did well."

"I can tell you put your heart and soul into your music. You did a very good job," Ayumi smiled at Birdie sincerly; her brown eyes shimminering in admiration.

Birdie smiled at her and handed her the harp "Would you like to try to play it?"

Ayumi's eyes widend a bit at the kind offer. She held the harp very carefully in her hands; and smiled at it absent mindedly before looking back up at Birdie.
"Oh, I can give it a try, I suppose," She murmured; closing her eyes as she thought for a seconds before gently stroking her fingers against the strings; creating a few different sounds. They didn't sound as well as Birdie's music sounded, but it didn't seem to sound all too horrible either.

Birdie watched the girl timidly hold the harp in her hand and smiled. She didnt do bad for just picking up the harp, then again...she wasn't trying a song. Birdie's smile increased. "Not bad. Trying holding it more comfortably though...as if it were part of you. It'll make it easier to play."

Ayumi listened to Birdie's words of advice; and smiled; tilting her head to the side just a little as she tryed to make her grip more relaxed.
"Alright, I'll try it this way," She replied lightly; lightly moving her fingers along the strings once more. She wasn't very sure yet on how to play many songs just yet.

Birdie giggled softly but smiled none the less. The harp wasn't the easiest thing to use, which was surprising. "Feel more comfortable with it yet?"

Ayumi let out a light giggle; and tried to adjust her grip on the harp just a little.
"Well, not yet...I think it'll take more getting used to to play as well as you," She admitted; still smiling sheepishly.

Birdie giggled and nodded. "Practice makes perfect.. Would it be easier if you sat? That way you could support the harp's weight better."

"That's a good idea," Ayumi agreed; smiling as she came around to the other side of the bar. She sat in one of the seats next to Birdie; finding it much easier to support the harp in her hands. She moved her fingers across the harp gently.

Birdie closed her eyes and listened. The sound coming out of the harp was smoother now. "Do you know how to read sheet music?"

Ayumi's cheeks flushed a little; she was embarrassed that she didn't know. She set a hand to her cheek, but still remained smiling. She held onto the harp a little tighter with the hand that was still holding it; she wanted to be careful she wouldn't drop something so precious.
"Well, no, actually," She admitted sheepishly.

Birdie just gave her a reassuring smile. "On one of your days off... I'll teach you to read it some time. till then just play the music and try to make something sound good. That 's how I was when I first started."
